This is a good question, because it can be very hard trying to determine what survey sites are good ones and which ones are below par. Unfortunately, there are some internet survey sites out there that do not live up to the big promises they make like making up to one hundred dollars per survey. Fortunately, there are also very good survey websites you can sign up for and actually get paid in cash or gift cards. If you want to know which ones are the good ones keep reading, because I have an easy to follow criteria that I go by.
What are the best ways to see if the paid survey site you are interested in is legit?
1. Check multiple sources online, because some review websites will rate everything good they are affiliated with, because they are receiving a commission for everybody that signs up through them with their link.
2. Check multiple comments on various online forums to see what the general consensus is, but beware of people who have negatives attitudes that complain about everything.
3. When you go to the survey website check to see if it looks like a professional company. Also, beware of websites that are overly promotional.
4. Check how long the company has been around, because older companies are usually more established and are here for the long run.
5. Beware of companies that ask for money or your credit card information, because all of the legitimate survey companies I have ever seen are free.
6. Look to see if they have a place on the website where you can contact them either by email or phone number and if you have any questions feel free to get in contact with them.
7. Check to see if they have a frequently asked questions section and check it out to see how well they answer the questions.
8. Look to see if they have a privacy policy, so you can know if your information is being protected.
9. Check to see if they have a code of ethics or standards or belong to any organizations that support good business practices.
10. Look to see how you are going to get paid, because you should get paid for your time.

Believe it or not all the best ones I have seen follow these criteria and are professional companies. After you follow all these steps you will be able to tell if the survey site you are interested in is a good one or not. You can also use these steps to check out other kinds of websites to see if they are legitimate, too. It may seem like this is a big checklist to go through, but it is well worth it instead of wasting your time with a below average website. Find a professional survey website and start collecting those fat checks every month.
